ENERGY SERVICES WEATHERIZATION INSPECTOR
Texoma Council of Governments (TCOG) has an immediate opening for a WEATHERIZATION INSPECTOR, to help our Weatherization Team conducts Home Energy Assessments for Low-Income Households in 19 counties across North and East Texas. The position identifies potential energy savings for the home, by using Diagnostic Equipment to ensure all work is completed according to Local, State, and Federal Guidelines.
Preparing detailed reports based on the inspection of the property to include arcuate drawings of the structure, window and door conditions, crawl-space and attic access while assisting the preparation that recommend appropriate retrofit measures to be installed.
This employee is required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and maneuver in tight spaces including attics and closets. This position requires prolonged driving and/or riding in a vehicle. The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
A High school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of three to five years of related home construction and/or remodel experience, or maintenance experience is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position may be considered in lieu of diploma. Must possess valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. This position must an OSHA card and EAP lead certification, or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
