Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency.  No matter how fast professional emergency responders arrive, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss. Those nearest to someone with life threatening injuries are best positioned to provide first care.

Since September is National Preparedness Month, TCOG’s Public Safety Program would like to help you become prepared. We have teamed up with the Sherman Fire/Rescue to present the Stop the Bleed training on 9/21/2022 at 9 am in the Eisenhower Room.
